Truly Beautiful

Have you ever looked in the mirror and wished you looked like someone else?

Can you think of at least one thing you'd like to change? I've got news for you! God doesn't create junk. At the very beginning of the Earth, at the very beginning of the Bible, in Genesis 1:31a "God saw all that He had made, and it was good." Not "ugly" or "gross", but good.

  And now, the other thing I was going to tell you. Beauty isn't just physical appearance. How fun is it to be around a girl who's beautiful and talented; yet criticizes you, hurts your feelings, and only thinks about herself? She isn't so attractive now, is she? In God's eyes, beauty is kindness, good character, and love. Those characteristics are characteristics that Jesus, God's son demonstrated during His life here on earth. It's a beauty that lasts.

"Charm is deceptive, and beauty fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."

Proverbs 31:30
